Missed Appointment & Cancellation Policy
At Coastal we aim to provide quality health care to all our patients in a timely manner. Patient No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations, effects the treatment and care required by our patients. Please be aware of our policy regarding missed, and cancelled appointments. At the end of the day, this policy is about being considerate of others.
Appointment Cancellation
A reminder email will be sent out to you 7 days prior to your appointment, and an SMS message will be sent 3 days prior to your appointment. You can confirm your appointment via this SMS by replying with Yes. If you are unable to make your appointment, please call the practice on (07) 5638 1259 or email us at info@coastalrss.com.au with at least 2 business days’ notice.
Late Cancellations/No-Shows/Fees
A late cancellation is when the appointment has been cancelled with less than 2 business days’ notice before the allocated appointed time. A no-show is when an appointment is not attended and has not been cancelled. There will be a late cancellation/No-show fee of 30% of the appointment cost.
For any new patients seeing a specialist at the practice, there will be a late cancellation/No-show fee of 50% of the appointment cost. Upfront payment will be required prior to re-booking the appointment.
Reasonable consideration will always be given in any crisis situations (Example: serious health emergencies, flood, or bush fire).
